Kate & Andrew were absolutely incredible. We had them come photograph our small family wedding at the cottage as well as film the ceremony. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Choosing Kate & Andrew from Visual Roots to do our wedding photography hands-down, one of the absolute best decisions of our whole wedding. Their high quality of work, and attention to detail is unlike any other. Everything I had dreamed of came to life, and was captured beautifully, words cannot describe. The whole day went by in the blink of an eye, and because of Visual Roots - no moment will go forgotten, every laugh, tear and drink was captured. We found Visual Roots nearly two years ago when searching for a local photographer to capture a few special moments. Amazing experience with Kate. We knew right after that we wanted to use Kate & Andrew for our wedding and, it was the best decision. Kate & Andrew worked with us in advance to ensure absolutely everything we wanted took place and when our day arrived, they went the extra mile to get every shot we wanted from start to finish which was nearly 12 hours. They made our large bridal party, 250+ guests and most importantly us, very comfortable throughout the entire day. Kate & Andrew are amazing people, talented professional photographers and It was an amazing experience..... without a doubt one that we would make over and over again for future events.

We have been meaning to write this review since our wedding a couple of years ago, and we finally sat down to do it! Kate and Andy are stellar and gifted photographers, with an unsurpassed dedication to their craft and their clients. There were lots of elements of wedding planning that were stressful and hectic, but our planning with Kate and Andy was a welcome distraction from that; our planning with them was stress-relieving, calming, and seamless from day one. Their calming presence was such an important part of our wedding day, because we knew we were in capable hands; this really helped my husband and I focus on each other, our family and friends, and the celebration. From our first conversation, Kate was keenly interested in our wedding plan and our vision for our wedding photos. They understood exactly what we were looking for, and the photos reflected every bit of that vision. Our group shots were wonderful, but the candid shots were breathtaking. They captured small intimate moments of joy between us but also between our families and our guests. The moments they captured touched our hearts; every photo told such a deep story, and it is clear that Kate and Andy are masters of their art – waiting and watching for the perfect moments and capturing them all beautifully. While I have been camera shy in my life and have bristled at the thought of having my photo taken, I treasure the photos Kate and Andy created – when I pass by one of one wedding photos in our house each day, it brings me new joy and happiness every time I look at them.Moreover, Kate and Andy were extremely warm, friendly and professional throughout the wedding day and in all of our interactions before and after. Kate and Andy were very knowledgeable about our venue and the Muskoka area, and knew exactly where to take us for some truly beautiful settings. We also had a potential mini-crisis when we noticed a tear in the back of my jacket before the ceremony, but Kate generously helped us stitch it up in the knick of time.Finally, Kate and Andy are wonderfully accepting and inclusive. Wedding planning can sometimes be hard for gay couples, because the industry is so focused on bride/groom weddings. But we felt incredibly comfortable with them from day one, and they understood from the beginning that we wanted our day to be about a celebration of love – they captured it perfectly.We echo what others have said in that having Visual Roots take our pictures was one of the best decisions we made – we highly recommend them! Their work is amazing! the studio is awesome. They are super nice people too!I recently had a sit down with Andy and he was so helpful to me and my photography. We were able to talk and he let me ask questions, while giving honest answers. Thank you.Yes, I'm indirect competition with them and the advice and tips he gave will definitely helped me. Phenomenal photographers!!! We had the pleasure of having them for both our engagement photos and wedding photos. Our engagement photos turned our far better than we ever could have hoped especially for being two people that aren’t so confident in front of the camera. Come our wedding day they went above and beyond our wildest imagination. Not only were they getting photographs but they were so attentive to both of our needs - managing my dress, the suit, helping with boutineers for other guests, getting the bride and groom drinks and food, helping with the general organization and flow of the day - all with a smile on their face. They were fun, relaxed and so many of our guests approached us to tell us how amazed they were by them. I can’t recommend them enough and we are anxiously awaiting our wedding photos!

Andrew and Kate are amazing photographers! We are so happy with the photos they took at our wedding. We were planning the wedding from far away so we were unable to meet them before the day of our wedding, but they were extremely flexible and approachable and made the whole process very easy. They were very professional and experienced - they kept us organized and were efficient so that we were able to capture all the photos we wanted. They are both extremely nice and helpful and went above and beyond their duties as photographers. They kept people laughing and smiling the whole time and we would highly recommend them :)
